I got a regular dental cleaning here in 2020 but have waited to write the review. After having an awful experience here, I stopped visiting 65 Broadway Dental and found a new dentist that I'm much happier with. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was sleazy. She was trying to diagnose me with periodontitis and was telling me I need to get a deep cleaning, and because this is a chronic condition, I would need to visit the office more often to treat this. Surprisingly, the doctor also signed off on it. For a 20-something year old that takes care of his teeth, I was surprised and I couldn't imagine what kind of advice they sell to other people. Since then, over the years, I have gotten plenty of other routine dental cleanings and *never* has a dentist mentioned anything negative about my gums—even after asking them for a second opinion. No other dentist suggested a deep cleaning. 65 Broadway Dental's hygienist was simply wrong to say that I had a chronic gum disease. It seemed like they were trying to unnecessarily extract more money from me/my insurance. Even if they had good intentions, why would anyone want to go to a doctor whose first suggestion is to get an invasive procedure done? My experience was from a few years ago, and hopefully this practice has improved since. For me, I'm glad that was the first and last time I visited!

I had the misfortune of seeing a dentist here in January 2022. When I was numbed for certain procedures, the dentist Olga M. was quite painful with doing the shots, honestly the worst numbing shots I’ve ever gotten. But the bigger issue is the dentist insisted that I needed a crown. She stated that if I didn’t I’d lose the tooth. Feeling that I had no choice as I didn’t want to lose the tooth, I had the crown added. While procedures were done, the dentist was quite rough and it was quite an unpleasant experience. Because of this, I decided to not return to this dental office. Fast forward to late August 2023, and after discussing with my original and now current dentist, I was informed this crown was not needed. Then, in early September, while spitting after brushing and flossing my teeth, the crown popped off. I had an emergency appointment with my current dentist, and he stated that the dentist that did the crown shaved too much of the tooth and it likely would pop off regularly. When it does, he will place it back, but I can assure you he was not happy with what he saw. I can’t recommend this place after this experience. If you must go as they are conveniently In Network, don’t commit to major procedures without either getting a second opinion or a pre authorization. But in my opinion, if you need more than a general cleaning or basic filling, perhaps go elsewhere.

Dentist office lied about accepting Delta Dental USA plan. The cleaning and X-rays were covered but when I was told I needed work done they would not accept by insurance copay and insisted I pay more. While the dentist himself was pleasant, Kevin (the office manager) was extremely rude, arrogant, and unwilling to communicate. I have since sought care elsewhere where I am much more satisfied. To the comment below: there is no confusion about my coverage as I contacted my provider with all the documents you provided and they confirmed my copay. You still refused to honor it as a Delta Dental USA accepted provider. I have submitted a grievance against you with my carrier. This is an honest review and to ask me to take it down or revise based on my experience is not right.
